WARC 2016
There are presently no open calls for submissions.
The Planning Committee of the 54th Annual Western Anesthesia Residents' Conference (WARC2016) invites participants to submit abstracts of original and unpublished works for presentation. Abstracts can only be submitted via the website. Abstracts sent by post or email will not be accepted. Only one abstract should be submitted for each presenting author.
1. Abstract Receipt ConfirmationUpon successful submission, authors will receive an automated acknowledgment via email.
Lack of acknowledgment will indicate that the abstract was not received.
Abstracts must be received by March 28, 2016 at 10:00pm . Abstracts received after this date and time will not be accepted.
2. Notification of Acceptance
The presenting author of each abstract accepted for presentation will be notified via email by April 1, 2016. If the presenting author is unable to attend the meeting and present the abstract, a co-author can be selected as an alternate presenter. The presenting author must inform the Scientific Committee of this change by April 8, 2016.
3. Types of Presentation
- At the time of acceptance notification, the submitting author will be notified whether a poster or oral presentation is requested. However, if you would like to be excluded from oral presentations, please check the appropriate box in the Abstract Submission Form.
- Abstracts accepted for oral presentation:
- Presenters will be given 8 minutes to present their materials and 5 minutes for discussion.
- Poster Presentation: Posters will be grouped by category in the dedicated area. Presenters will be given 3 minutes for presentation and a short discussion will follow.
4. Withdrawal
Please notify the Scientific Committee if you wish to withdraw your abstract by April 8, 2016.
5. Abstract Instructions
*1 lead (presenting) author submission per person maximum
*Abstract length must be 500 words
or less and contain no more than 1 figure or graph (not including Title, Authors, or Institution)
*All Research Abstracts must include the following sections: Title, Authors, Affiliated Institution, Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
*All Case Reports must include the following: Title, Authors, Affiliated Institution, Background, Case Description, and Discussion.
You will be notified of the type of presentation (oral or poster) at the time of acceptance.
6. Publication: Abstracts will not be published and material may represent work presented or to be presented at other meetings

7. WARC 2016 Presentation Awards
Awards will be presented for both Oral and poster presentations as judged by various faculty from attending institutions.
